US Embassy in Ukraine temporarily suspends work

On February 13, the United States starts the evacuation of American diplomats working in Kyiv due to the threat of Russian invasion. Accordingly, the provision of visa, passport and consular services at the US Embassy in Kyiv is suspended.

"The embassy will maintain a small consular presence in Lviv to deal with emergencies, but will not be able to provide passport, visa or regular consular services," the US Consular Office said. US citizens can apply for these services at US embassies in neighboring countries.

What does this mean for our clients: already submitted cases will be considered with a delay, the term of which is difficult to predict. We will not be able to file new cases until the US Embassy in Ukraine resumes passport and visa services.

Of course, we sincerely hope that political tensions will subside and that the US Embassy will resume its work. We will monitor the development of the situation and inform our customers about all updates.
