New border crossing rules

To the attention of all our clients planning a trip to Canada: according to official sources, Canada is announcing new border crossing rules. Starting from November 21, everyone arriving in the country will be required to register through the ArriveCAN application.

It should include information about your health, quarantine plan, address in Canada, and contact information. Within 48 hours after crossing the border, you have to report arrival at the place of self-isolation, daily report the presence or absence of symptoms of COVID-19.

Since November 4, airlines begin to inform about changes in the rules of crossing the border all passengers who buy tickets to Canada. Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal airports will have separate lines for ArriveCAN users to speed up data processing and minimize contact between travelers.

Those who do not follow the rules may receive a verbal warning or a fine of up to $ 1,000 Canadian dollars, depending on the decision of the officer.

Thus, the Canadian government will try to curb the development of the pandemic without closing the borders.
