Canada cancels hotel quarantine

To the attention of our customers traveling to Canada: on July 5, Canada will abolish the mandatory three-day quarantine at the hotel for fully vaccinated travelers.

We remind you that since February 22 this year, travelers take a PCR test immediately upon arrival in Canada, and during three days wait for its result in one of the government-approved hotels. According to Canadian officials, this event should have encouraged people to refrain from unnecessary travel - and so it has done, because three days at the hotel usually cost over $ 800.

To go without hotel quarantine, you must complete one or more of the vaccines approved by the Government of Canada: Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, or Astra Zeneca. The date of the last administration of the vaccine must be at least 14 days before crossing the Canadian border, and the vaccination certificate must be translated into English or French.

Fully vaccinated travelers are not exempt from COVID-19 testing and two weeks of self-isolation, but they will be able to travel immediately to a permanent quarantine site, including travel by public transport. Therefore, we advise our clients planning a trip to Canada to inquire about the possibility of vaccination in Ukraine.
